What makes a good photographer?

I studied exposure, composition and color theory. I experimented with all sorts of equipment. I scrutinized my work in LightRoom and PhotoShop, making minuscule adjustments for hours. I photographed countless people and places.

The answer didn’t occur to me until my baby boy was born. Everyday he looks different. Everyday he has a new smile, a new frown, a new expression that melts my heart. There is no ordinary day any more. Everyday has become thousands of precious moments I want to preserve. Then it dawned on me. What people thanked me for is really the fleeting moments in life I preserved for them. We live in an era when anybody with a phone can take pictures. A good photographer captures life.

Let me help you capture life's precious moments.
